My Journey

I’m someone who always dreams big; a small town girl with wild ideas. And in dreaming big I had to take some risks in achieving my next goal; whether it’s being the first person in my family to go to college, or to move cross country to New York City because I love the Big Apple. I think the biggest risk I’ve taken this far was to leave a high position job to go back to Coding School... while PREGNANT! I’ve always wanted to learn software development and have worked in the technology sector, but I wanted be part of building something that can change the world. I was definitely scared to take that step and leave my job security, especially in a time when we where adding a little one to the mix. It was pretty crazy but I’m so happy I did it and have no regrets. Sometimes when taking that risky next step it helps by not being afraid to fail. You got this, you can do it!
